Have you heard of "Shinonome-iro," a traditional Japanese color name?
It describes the moment at dawn when the whole world is tinted by the soft light rising in the eastern sky — that feeling of losing track of time while watching the sun climb, moment by moment. Perhaps people long ago gave a name to this fleeting moment because they simply wanted to share it with someone.
GIMPASO is a place where the beauty of the sky reflects onto mirror-like silver waves. Onsen Cafe si no no me was imagined as a space bathed in that Shinonome color of Gamagori, reflected in the waves.

Tiled walls and high ceilings still carry the memory of the grand bath this room once was. We carefully renovated the space into a refined cafe while preserving that nostalgic character. Set apart from the rush of everyday life, it feels both familiar and new — a quiet, unhurried flow of time found only in this onsen town.

Signature treats worth remembering
What makes time here even richer are the signature treats si no no me is proud to serve: the sound of coffee beans being ground, the aroma of freshly made waffles prepared to order, soft-serve ice cream topped with our house-made onsen-mark cookie, cream sodas bright with fresh fruit, and a wide selection of soft drinks including Gamagori mikan juice. We also offer original seasonal items throughout the year.

- Every Wednesday. In the evenings, this space is reserved for GIMPASO overnight guests.

- 25 Oyama, Nishiura, Gamagori, Aichi 443-0105, inside GIMPASO
- Access
- 20 min by car from Gamagori Station / 30 min on the Meitetsu bus bound for Nishiura Onsen-mae / 6 min by car or 25 min on foot from Meitetsu Nishiura Station. A dedicated parking area is located past the right side of GIMPASO; from the parking area, walk along the beach and climb the direct staircase up to the cafe.
